TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 NISSAN QUEST. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TCS AND ABS WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 44,000.

2004 NISSAN QUEST VAN - I WAS TRAVELING 55 MPH AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE VAN HAD NO POWER IT JUST SLOWED DOWN, THE STEERING FROZE AND IT STALLED IN MID-TRAFFIC. I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE ENOUGH NOTICE TO PULL OFF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. WORSE OF ALL, THE BRAKES DIDN'T WORK I SLAMMED ON THE EMERGENCY BRAKE AND LOOKED FOR A CURB TO COAST INTO AND STOP. I TOOK THE VAN IN TO THE DEALER. THEY LOOKED AT IT AND TOLD ME THEY NEEDED TO REPLACE THE THROTTLE BODY. AFTER REPLACING THE THROTTLE BODY WITH A NEW ONE IT TOOK THEM OVER 6 HOURS - THE MECHANIC RETURNED AND SAID THE NEW THROTTLE BODY WOULD NOT COMMUNICATE WITH THE COMPUTERIZED SYSTEM, SO HE TOOK OUT THE NEW THROTTLE BODY AND PUT MY OLD ONE BACK IN. NOW I'M BEING TOLD IT IS POSSIBLY THE ECM NOT SENDING POWER...
