MY CAR LEAKS DURING RAIN FROM THE SUNROOF TO THE BLUE HOSE DRAIN AND FLOODED MY CAR. WHICH MESSED UP THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. I'M HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY CAR SAYING IT'S OVER HEATING BUT IT'S NOT IT'S THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM TELLING THE COMPUTER IN CAR THAT IT'S HOW WHEN ITS NOT AND NOW MY TRANSMISSION IS MESSED UP WE THINK. MY CAR IS CURRENTLY AT JEEP DEALER IN CERRITOS, CA FOR 2 DAYS NOW AND NO ONE CAN TELL ME WHAT WRONG.
THE SUNROOF DRAIN DESIGN WAS FAULTY. DURING RAINING WEATHER, THE SUNROOF DRAINS CANNOT HANDLE THE COLLECTED RAIN AND THE RAIN WILL OVERFLOW AND GO INTO THE CAR. THE RAIN THAT OVERFLOWS FALLS INTO THE FRONT PANEL AND HAS CAUSED MULTIPLE ELECTRICAL FAILURES AND SHORTAGES. MOST IMPORTANTLY THE WATER HAS DAMAGED THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND HEADLIGHT CONTROLS WHICH CAUSES THEM TO SHUT OFF WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE.

LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA, 954-399-598) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DOOR PANELS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. LATER, THE REAR DRIVER AND PASSENGER DOOR HANDLES ALSO FRACTURED. THE FAILURES WERE NOT REPAIRED. ADDITIONALLY, THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V438000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 135,000. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
THE A/C INLET FITTING IS DEFECTIVE CAUSING THE COOLANT TO LEAK OUT AND THE ENGINE TO OVERHEAT, THE PCM IS DEFECTIVE AND SAYS THE TIRE PRESSURE IS LOW WHEN IT ISNT
DRIVING UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS THE VEHICLE ENGINE COMPLETELY SHUTS OFF AND STALLS. THIS HAPPENS ON THE HIGHWAY, MOSTLY AT SPEEDS OF ABOUT 45-60 MPH. THE TWO RECALLS AVAILABLE ON THE VEHICLE AS IT RELATES TO THIS ISSUE (TCM/PCM ) ( IGNITION SWITCH) HAVE BEEN RECENTLY FIXED BY THE DEARLERSHIP, HOWEVER THE VEHICLE CONTINUES TO MULFUNCTION IN THE SAME MANNER AND APPEARS TO BE GETTING WORSE. CONTACTING CHRYSLER, THEY ARE ABRASIVE AND UNCOOPERATIVE. A LITTLE RESEARCH SHOWS THAT THERE ARE SEVERAL OWNER COMPLAINTS ON THIS VERY ISSUE DATING BACK TO 2006-2007-2008. THERE APPEARS TO BE AN "ACTIVE" INVESTIGATION ONGOING BY THE NHTSA-OFFICE OF DEFECTS INVESTIGATIONS. WHAT IS THE STATUS OF THIS INVESTIGATION-10 YEARS LATER??? THERE APPEARS TO BE NO INTEREST ON THE PART OF THE MANAUFACTURER TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE WITHOUT THE VEHICLE OWNER INCURRING MASSIVE LOSES IN ENDLESS DIAGNOSTIC AND REPAIR EXPENSES.

I TOOK IT TO PROGRESSIVE CHEVROLET IN MASSILLON AND THEY CONFIRMED IT IS PART OF THE P41/NHTSA 14V-438 RECALL. IT HAS BEEN THERE FOR 45 DAYS. CHRYSTLER INFORMS ME THE PARTS ARE AVAILABLE AND WILL BE THERE WITHIN THE WEEK. PROGRESSIVE INFORMS ME THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. I HAVE BEEN WAITING SINCE SEPTEMBER 11, 2015 FOR THE PART.

PURCHASED CAR ON JULY 29, 2015 ON AUGUST 1 CAR TURNED OFF AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON TOOK IT TO DEALER. THEY SAID THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM. THE NEXT DAY ON AUGUST 2,2015 SAME ISSUE HAPPEN TOOK CAR BACK TO DEALER THEY SAID THEY WOULD FIX IT. LEFT CAR AND PICKED IT UP ON AUGUST 7,2015. THE NEXT DAY ON AUGUST 8,2015 CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT OFF AGAIN TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER.PICKED CAR UP ON AUGUST 12,2015. ON AUGUST 25,2015 CAR TURNED OFF AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. WENT BACK TO THE DEALER THIS TIME THEY SAID IT WAS THE RPM,THAT THEY CLEANED IT OUT. BUT I WAS ADVISED THAT THIS TIME IF THE CAR HAD ANY MORE NEW PROBLEMS THEY WILL NOT REPAIR IT.

THE FRONT MODULE IS CORRUPT. IT CAUSING VARIOUS ELECTRICAL ISSUE. LIGHTS, BLINKERS, RADIO, SPEAKERS, DASHBOARD DISPLAYS, HEATING/COOLING, ARE ALL INOPERABLE. JEEP IS CLAIMING THAT THIS IS NOT THEIR RESPONSIBILITY. THIS PART IS NOT MECHANICAL. I CAN UNDERSTAND WEAR AND TEAR BUT THIS ISSUE WOULD BE A FAULTY PART NOT AN ISSUE OF MAINTENANCE OR THE LACK OF. WITHOUT A RECALL, I AM SUBJECT TO EXPENSE THAT COULD END UP COSTING ME $1000 TO $3000. I FIND THIS TO BE SITUATION WHERE JEEP IS TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THEIR CLIENTELE. I HAVE SEARCHED MULTIPLE FORUMS AND FOUND THIS TO BE A RE-OCCURRING ISSUE IN MANY OF JEEPS MODELS. THIS AN INJUSTICE AND UNETHICAL ACT UPON THE CONSUMER.
