2021 HONDA ACCORD Forward Collision Avoidance Warnings Problems

It makes false things there is no car but it brakes by self for nothing

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The vehicle’s collision avoidance automatic braking system is malfunctioning. It engages unexpectedly while the vehicle is moving with normal traffic flow. The system is still installed and fully available for inspection upon request. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The automatic braking system activates suddenly and without cause while I am driving at typical speeds (approximately 40–60 mph) with the flow of traffic. This unexpected braking creates a serious risk of rear-end collisions, both endangering me and putting other drivers at risk of crashing into my vehicle from behind. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? The touch screen is malfunctioning. Its "ghost touching" as in the screen is pressing random buttons on the screen at random times while driving. It can change and has changed settings while driving (distance for breaking before a collision, etc). While its touching random things on the screen im unable to touch anything on the screen. As if its locking me from pressing anything.

Experienced CMBS with malfunctioning false breaking while no obstacle, acceleration delays (Features not available: Electric braking, lane departure, Electric power steering, Cruise control, Adaptive collusion prevention and brake system warning on dashboard).

I saw that they are investigating Honda Pilots for an automatic braking issue. I wanted to report that on my car I’ve had the automatic brake warning come on at least 3 times while driving at highway speed with nothing in front of me. This is over a period of 3 years (my car has 40k). The brakes didnt engage, but it alerts you like it will engage for a couple seconds then the alert goes away. It could be related to the Pilot issue. If the brakes did engage I would likely get rear ended on the highway. So far it hasnt happened but it is scary when it does. And totally random as each time no car within 2000ft

The infotainment system randomly presses all over the screen all the time. This causes tony of issues such as turning on the radio, changing navigation, and making beeping noises constantly. Honda has replaced the infotainment system twice in my vehicle and it has fixed absolutely nothing. This is a major safety issue because of how distracting it is when driving. The incessant beeping noises (it beeps every time the touch screen is “pressed”) makes it so that I don’t know whether the car is beeping for safety issues (lane assist etc) or not. The radio being turned on at random is extremely startling and has caused me many near accidents. The navigation turning off as I am navigating through traffic has caused much stress and confusion which can lead to an accident. This is a major issue that needs correction ASAP.

Rear seat belt will not click and lock in. With the forward collision warning there was times I was driving on the freeway where there is no vehicle in front of me and Hard brake on me and shows forward collision warning. This happened like 3 or 4 times

I was driving 35mph and there was nothing in front of me when my car stopped. It would not move forward or accelerate despite pushing on the gas pedal. There was no forward motion or propelled motion. It took several seconds for my car to go again. The car was towed and serviced at the dealership. They said the front sensors had misfired. If a car would have been behind me or if I had been on the highway, this would have been a serious accident. The engine light never came on. A series of 5 warning lights related to the assisted driving came on but went away.

I was driving down the highway at approximately 70 mph and a vehicle ahead, probably 8-10 car lengths lightly applied their brakes slowing down to my estimate of 60 mph. The forward collision activated and slammed my brakes causing a pickup behind me to slam on their brakes and swerve onto the shoulder to avoid a collision. This is not the first time this has happened, but the previous time the braking wasn't as severe.

The collision mitigation brake system continues to come off, and today it made my car spin, and I almost crash into the media.

Automatic emergency breaking system has benn activated in about 6 different ocassions while driving in the highway for no reason. No vehicles or obstacles in front of the car but car suddenly applied brakes stopping the car very suddenly while driving 70-75 miles per hour.

Vehicle tends to turn on brake warning light when there is nothing in the way. Driving with no obstacle in the way and the brake warning sign will display on dashboard. I’ve driven it on the highway with no cars and it will signal me to brake for no reason. I’m afraid the brakes might apply which could cause a serious accident.

Vehicle flashed "brake" on the dashboard and automatically engaged brakes despite nothing being ahead in the road. This occurred on a clear, sunny day around late morning on the interstate. Similar issues have occurred previously where the car flashed the "brake" warning light despite nothing being immediately ahead in the road. With this other incident the brakes were not engaged. This time the brakes engaged, then released, and the car continued. Later on that same trip, the "brake" warning would again flash despite no objects being immediately ahead in the road. The vehicle arbitrarily braking without warning or reason is extremely dangerous as it may cause vehicles behind including much larger trucks to slam into the car. The Honda dealer and Honda customer service were both contacted when the car on a previous occasion flashed "brake" despite no obstructions but neither has returned my messages.
