VEHICLE HAD 62579 MILES WHEN IT THREW A P1299 CODE FOR ENGINE OVERHEAT. FORD CHECKED AND SAID THE ENGINE WAS LEAKING COOLANT INTO THE CYLINDERS AND IT'S A COMMON PROBLEM ON THE 1.5 L ECO BOOST ENGINE AS PER TSB 20-2100. THEY ALSO SAID IT'S OUT OF WARRANTY DUE TO BEING OVER 60000 MILES. FROM RESEARCH IT LOOKS LIKE FORD HAS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THIS ENGINE AND THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO STAND BEHIND IT AND FIX IT AS THEY SHOULD.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED HAD TO BE REPAIRED OUT OF POCKET BECAUSE THE VIN WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 120,000.
CAR LOST ALL POWER WHILE DRIVING
I HAVE A 2017 FORD FUSION TITANIUM WITH THE 2.0L ECOBOOST ENGINE THAT HAS 72,890 MILES. I EXPERIENCED ROUGH IDLE FOR ABOUT A WEEK THEN MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I HAD THE ENGINE LIGHT CHECKED AND SHOWED THE CODE P0302 WHICH IS A MISFIRE IN CYLINDER 2. WHEN I PROCEEDED TO LEAVE THE PLACE OF BUSINESS WHERE I HAD THE LIGHT CHECKED WHITE SMOKE CAME OUT OF MY EXHAUST UPON START UP AND WAS STILL COMING OUT BY THE TIME I DROVE HOME. I PROCEEDED TO DO MY RESEARCH OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF WEEKS FOLLOWING AND FOUND OUT IT IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND FORD WILL ONLY COVER IF UNDER POWER TRAIN WARRANTY, EVEN THOUGH IT HAPPENS OUTSIDE THE WARRANTY TIME FRAME JUST AS MUCH AS WITH IN THE WARRANTY WINDOW. I PROCEEDED TO HAVE MY CAR TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP AND A DIAGNOSTIC DONE AND THEY...
MY CAR HAS APPROXIMATELY 61,000 MILES ON IT AND ONE DAY, I TURNED IT ON AND IT MADE A ROUGH SOUND STARTING UP. I THEN NOTICED MY CAR WAS SHAKING AND THAT MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAD COME ON, SO I ELECTED TO NOT DRIVE IT TO ENSURE NO FURTHER DAMAGE COULD OCCUR. I CONSULTED WITH TWO MECHANICS WHO BOTH STATED THAT FLUID WAS LEAKING FROM MY SPARK PLUGS, CAUSED BY FLUID IN MY CYLINDERS, AND THAT IT WAS NECESSARY TO REPLACE MY ENGINE. THEY PLUGGED CODE READERS IN THAT INDICATED THAT MY SECOND CYLINDER WAS MISFIRING. AFTER RESEARCHING ONLINE ABOUT THIS ISSUE, I FOUND MANY OTHER CARS OF MY MAKE AND MODEL THAT HAD THE SAME ISSUE, SOME OF WHICH STATED FIRES AND OTHER SERIOUS DANGERS AND WERE ALL WITHIN 15,000 MILES OF USAGE AS MY CAR. I AM DISCOURAGED AND DISAPPOINTED BY THE FACT THAT I WAS SOLD...
CAR RAN ROUGH WHEN FIRST STARTED THEM SMOOTHED OUT, HAPPENED A FEW TIMES THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON. COOLANT WAS LEAKING IN CYLINDERS #4 AND #3. MECHANIC STATED THIS YEAR CAR THE ENGINE BECOMES POROUS AND THEY NEEDED TO REPLACE THE ENGINE.

THE OWNER/MYSELF DRIVING VEHICLE HOME MY 2017 FORD FUSION SE 1.5L ON THE INTERSTATE WHEN WHITE SMOKE BILLOWED OUT FROM THE EXHAUST LEADING TO A SEIZED ENGINE ON A HIGH TRAFFIC DENSITY HIGHWAY. THE CAR STARTED TO SPUTTER, CLUNK AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT KEPT FLASHING AS I PULLED OFF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THIS CAR HAD ISSUES BEFORE THE FAILURE OF THE ENGINE WITH CYLINDERS MISFIRING, SPARK PLUGS BEING FOULED AT LOW MILEAGE AND ENGINE LOSING COOLANT. PER MY VEHICLES BREAKDOWN I BROUGHT IT TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHO WORKED FOR FORD AND STATED MY ENGINE LOCKED UP AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, AFTER BRINGING MY CAR TO ANOTHER SHOP FOR A SECOND DIAGNOSIS, IT WAS THE SAME ANSWER AFTER A FULL LOOK AT IT. I TRIED CALLING FORD IN MICHIGAN THEY GAVE ME THE RUN AROUND, MY DEALER FRED BEANS OF FORD GAVE ME THE RUN AROUND...

I IMMEDIATELY PULLED OVER TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING WRONG AND ALMOST CAUSED A COLLISION FOR THE PERSON BEHIND ME.. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON INDICATING A MISFIRE IN ENGINE 3. FORD DEALERSHIP RECOMMENDED NEW SPARKPLUGS AND IGNITION COIL. I COMPLETED THE REPAIR, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DISAPPEARED. AFTER FEW DAYS, THE ENGINE STARTED OVERHEATING SUDDENLY WITHOUT ANY WARNING. I CHECKED THE COOLANT RESERVOIR AND IT WAS NEAR EMPTY. PAID FORD AGAIN TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM, THIS TIME THEY IDENTIFIED COOLANT INTRUSION IN ENGINE 4 CAUSED BY INTERNAL COOLANT LEAK. THE RECOMMENDATION IS A NEW REMAN FORD ENGINE WITH THE ESTIMATE OF $5000.
AFTER 3 YEARS OF OWNING THE CAR AND 81,000 MILES (PURCHASED NEW AND NEVER HAD ANY ISSUES), VEHICLE'S ENGINE BLOCK CRACKED, RESULTING IN COOLANT CONTAMINATION. FORD'S INVESTIGATION SHOWED CYLINDER #2 AND #3 WERE MISFIRING AND OIL WAS LEAKING IN. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, POOR ACCELERATION, AND RUMBLING WHILE IDLING ALL FIRST OCCURRED ON THE HIGHWAY, JUST 2 DAYS AFTER A FORD SERVICE CENTER DID A COMPLETE ENGINE CHECK AND OIL CHANGE. ONCE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STARTED FLASHING AT US AND THE ENGINE WOULDN'T PUSH PAST 2K RPMS, WE IMMEDIATELY PULLED OVER (AS FORD WARNED US THAT FLASHING INDICATED FUEL WAS DUMPING INTO THE ENGINE). THE FORD DEALERSHIP WE TOWED THE CAR TO HAD NO AVAILABILITY TO FIX THE CAR, AS 4 OTHER FUSIONS WITH THE EXACT SAME ENGINE AND ISSUE CAME IN EARLIER THAT WEEK. THAT'S WHEN THE SERVICE MANAGER ACKNOWLEDGED THIS IS A MUCH BIGGER ISSUE THAN WHAT...
VEHICLE CODES STARTED TO APPEAR ON THE DASHBOARD ( TEMP LIGHT, ENGINE LIGHT, BATTERY LIGHT) WARNING SIGNS ALSO APPEARED ( OVERHEATING IN ENGINE ) ENGINE COOLANT STARTED TO DECREASE NO LEAK WAS DETECTED. IT WAS TAKEN TO A MECHANIC TO GET EVALUATED AND THEY CAME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT IT WAS LEAKING INTERNALLY INTO THE CAR WHICH CAUSED OTHER ISSUES. THIS CAR WAS PURCHASED FEBRUARY 2020 SO 8 MONTHS LATER THE CAR HAS COMPLETELY CRASHED. WHITE SMOKE IS ALSO EXPELLING FROM THE VEHICLE EXHAUST. THE SPARK PLUGS ARE BURNING UP THEY WERE REPLACED APPROXIMATELY 8 DAYS AGO AND THEY ARE COMPLETELY BURNED WHITE.
WHILE DRIVING MY 2017 FUSION 2.0 ECO BOOST WITH 77,000 MILES THE "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" LIGHT CAME ON.THE LIGHT WENT OFF A FEW DAYS LATER BUT I HAD ALREADY MADE A SERVICE APPOINTMENT AT THE DEALER WHERE I HAD PURCHASED IT BRAND NEW. THEY'VE ALSO DONE ALL OF THE ROUTINE MAINTENANCE. THEY SAID IT JUST NEEDED NEW SPARK PLUGS AND INJECTORS CLEAND, SO THEY DID THE WORK AND CHARGED ME $400. AFTER I GOT THE CAR BACK 2 DAYS LATER THE LIGHT CAME BACK ON, I RETURNED THE CAR TO THEM. IT'S 2000 MILES OVER THE EXTENDED WARRRANTY I PURCHASED. AFTER THEY HAD IT A FEW DAYS THEY DETERMINED IT HAS COOLANT LEAKING INTO CYCLINDER NUMBER 1. THE REPAIR WAS $6,236.92 TO FIX. I WAS ABLE TO PERSUADE THE DEALERSHIP INTO HAVING THE EXTENDED WARRANTY COMPANY PAY HALF. MY PART WAS $3236.92

THE VEHICLE WAS LATER TAKEN TO DICK SMITH FORD OF COLUMBIA LOCATED AT 7201 GARNERS FERRY RD, COLUMBIA, SC 29209, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 71,063.
I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 10 MINS AWAY FROM MY HOUSE, IN THE CITY AS I APPROACHED A RED LIGHT MY CAR SHUT OFF. IT STOPPED WHILE I WAS IN MOTION , I COULDN'T BRAKE, THERES WAS NOTHING COULD DO BUT JUST LET THE CAR STOP ON ITS OWN. THE BATTERY LIGHT STARTED TO FLASH, THE WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON. I TURNED THE CAR OFF, THEN BACK ON, AND IT DIDNT START. SO I TRIED AGAIN, AND THE CAR STARTED, I WAS ALE TO MAKE IT HOME SAFE. BUT THIS IS A HAZARD, I HAD CHILDREN IN THE CAR, I WILL LIKE THIS CAR TO BE RECALLED. I SAW IN 2017 IN JULY ABOUT FIVE THOUSANDS 2017 FORDS WERE RECALLED FOR THIS REASON. IM SCARED AND DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO!
ENGINE COOLANT LEAKED INTO MULTIPLE CYLINDERS AND THE ENGINE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. APPARENTLY THIS IS A DESIGN FLAW AND HAS BEEN KNOWN BY FORD FOR MANY YEARS AND HAS NOT BEEN RECALLED. THIS IS THE ECOBOOST ENGINE IN A 2017 FORD FUSION PLATINUM. NOW THE ENGINES ARE ON BACK ORDER SO IT WILL TAKE MANY WEEKS TO GET REPLACED. THE WARRANTY ONLY COVERS A RENTAL CAR FOR 10 DAYS.
HAD A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COME ON ON MY 2017 FORD FUSION SE WITH ONLY 61,000 MILES AND THERE WAS A MISFIRE ON THE FIRST 1000 REVOLUTIONS AND IT WAS ON CYLINDER 2. IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY AND I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THAT COOLANT GOT INTO THE CYLINDER AND IT CAUSED MAJOR ENGINE DAMAGE AND I NEED A NEW ENGINE. I WILL GET A REFURBISHED ONE FOR MY $100 DEDUCTIBLE BUT I THOUGHT I SHOULD GET A BRAND NEW ONE. ECOBOOST ENGINES ARE GARBAGE. ONE AND DONE WITH THOSE. ILL NEVER BUY A FORD WITH AN ECOBOOST ENGINE AGAIN. TOYOTA IS MUCH MORE RELIABLE AND PERFECTS THINGS UNLIKE AMERICAN CAR COMPANIES THAT ONLY CARE ABOUT QUARTERLY SALES. I WONT GET MY CAR FOR 2 TO 6 WEEKS THEY SAID BUT DID GET A LOANER CAR. IM GOING TO TRADE THAT IN ASAP

2017 FORD FUSION 71,000 MILES, COOLANT LEAK INTO CYLINDER 3. MANY FORUMS STATING SAME PROBLEM IN FUSIONS AND FORD EDGE. RESULTING IN NEW ENGINE PURCHASE OR $8K REPAIR. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION I NOTICED POWER LOSS. FORD WOULD NOT HELP IN ME IN ANY WAY FINANCIALLY OR WAVING ANY FEE.
COOLANT GOT INTO THE CYLINDER DUE TO A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THIS MOTOR. A SOFTWARE UPDATE WAS OFFERED TO TRY AND PREVENT THE PROBLEM BUT THE DAMAGE HAD ALREADY BEEN DONE. THE CAR HAS 65000 MILES AND IS 5000 OVER THE WARRANTY. FORD WAS CONTACTED BY MYSELF AND THE LOCAL FORD DEALER AND THEY WILL NOT HELP AT ALL. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND I TOOK IT TO THE LOCAL GARAGE AND THEY CHANGED THE SPARK PLUGS AND THEN AT AROUND 60000 MILES THE LIGHT KEPT COMING ON AND OFF. AFTER ABOUT A WEEK THE CAR STARTED SHAKING REALLY BADLY UPON START UP. THE SOFTWARE UPDATE WAS ISSUED AND I TOOK IT TO THE FORD DEALER AND THEY SAID IT IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THIS MOTOR AND FORD HAS YET TO OFFER A RECALL.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 71,000.
THE CAR DROVE AS EXPECTED UNTIL AROUND 80K MILES. THEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DISPLAYED WITH THE CODE: P0302. THIS SHOWS A MISFIRE ON CYLINDER #2. THE CARS COOLANT WAS RECENTLY REFILLED AND UPON INSPECTION AFTER THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT APPEARED, THE COOLANT RESERVOIR WAS AGAIN EMPTY. THE CAR WAS KEPT UP ON MAINTENANCE AND DIDN'T SHOW ANY SIGNS OF MALFUNCTION PRIOR. I LATER FOUND OUT THAT COOLANT IS LEAKING INTO THE CYLINDER, CAUSING IT TO MISFIRE. THE CAR PROMPTED ME TO PULL OVER AND STOP THE ENGINE BECAUSE THIS ISSUE WAS MAKING IT OVERHEAT. THE CAR REMAINS PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY AS IT IS TOO FRAGILE TO DRIVE.
I PURCHASED THE CAR ON OCTOBER 21ST OF 2019. I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT ISSUES WITH THIS CAR BASICALLY SENSE PURCHASING IT. I BOUGHT THE CAR WITH 54,000 MILES. I WAS UP TO ABOUT 74,000 WITH THE NEED TO REPLACE A MOTOR. I DID SO, BEFORE I REPLACED THE MOTOR THE BATTERY LIGHT WAS ON. I CHANGED THE ALTERNATOR BELIEVING THAT WOULD BE THE ISSUE, I ALSO REPLACED THE BELT WITH IT THINKING I MIGHT AS WELL. STILL BATTERY LIGHT WAS ON. SO I EVEN WENT AND CHANGED THE BATTERY AND STILL A BATTERY LIGHT. I HAVE DUMPED NOTHING BUT MONEY INTO THIS CAR SENSE PURCHASING IT. I HAVE BEEN READING NOTHING BUT ISSUES WITH THESE 2017 FORD FUSIONS ANS BELIEVE FORD NEEDS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THIS BECAUSE SO MANY OTHERS ARE EXPERIENCING THESE ISSUES AND NOW I BELIEVE THE ECM IS GOING TO BE REPLACED. TURNED CAR ON AND IMMEDIATELY RECEIVED THE SHIFT SYS FAULT SERVICE REQUIRED WARNING. CAR WOULD NOT GO INTO GEAR AS WELL AS THE PARKING BRAKE WOULD NOT GO OFF. ATTEMPTED TO UTILIZE THE KEY HOLE IN THE CENTER CONSOLE, DID NOT ASSIST AT ALL. TOW TRUCK MOVED CAR TO THE HOUSE FOR US. THE CAR WAS STATIONARY DURING THE ATTEMPTING TO MOVE INTO DRIVE.
MY 2017 FORD FUSION SE IS EXPERIENCING A P0301 ENGINE CODE ALONG WITH MAJOR COOLANT LOSS. THE ERROR CODE RELATES TO AN ENGINE MISFIRE IN CYLINDER 1. THERE IS ALSO WHITE SMOKE COMING FROM THE EXHAUST. THE CAR WAS PURCHASED IN MARCH OF 2018 AND HAS 69,000 MILE ON IT. UPON STARTING THE CAR IDLES VERY ROUGH FOR ABOUT 10 SECONDS AND THEN SMOOTHS OUT. THE GAS MILEAGE HAS BEEN VERY POOR AND I HAVE BEEN GETTING HIGH ENGINE TEMP ALERTS AS WELL. I TOOK THE CAR TO BRANFORD FORD IN BRANFORD CT. THEY DIAGNOSED THE ISSUE AND TOLD ME THERE IS COOLANT LEAKING INTO CYLINDER NUMBER 1 AND THE ONLY WAY TO CORRECT THE ISSUE IS TO REPLACE THE ENGINE. MY CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY AND THE COST TO REPLACE IS $5700.00!! THIS A 2 1/2 YEAR OLD CAR THAT NEEDS AND ENGINE REPLACEMENT?!? I DID A TON...
CAR BEGAN LOSING POWER UPHILL, AND EVEN PUSHING THE GAS PEDAL TO THE FLOOR DID NOT HELP. HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP WAS REPLACED AT A FORD DEALERSHIP, BUT THE PROBLEM CONTINUED, AND GOT WORSE. EVENTUALLY HAD TO BE TOWED TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP, WHERE THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM ENOUGH TO GET HOME, ALTHOUGH HILLS REMAINED AN ISSUE (CRUISE CONTROL WAS SET TO 70, AND EVEN THE SMALLEST HILL WOULD CAUSE THE CAR TO SLOW TO AROUND 40-45 MPH). CAR CURRENTLY IS SITTING IN MY DRIVEWAY BECAUSE I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE IT. IT MIGHT STALL OUT IN TRAFFIC.

INTERNAL COOLANT LEAK IN 2.0L FORD FUSION SE ECOBOOST CAUSED MY CAR'S ENGINE TO LOCK WITHOUT WARNING. NO START. CURRENTLY, THERE EXISTS PROGRAM 19B37 FOR 1.5L. MY 2.0L FORD FUSION SE ECOBOOST PRESENTED THE EXACT INTERNAL COOLANT LEAKAGE PROBLEM AS THAT OF THE 1.5L THAT IS PRESENTLY ON RECALL. MY PREVIOUS SPARK PLUGS CONFIRM THAT COOLANT HAS LEAKED INTO THE ENGINE OF MY CAR. ALSO, A COOLANT PRESSURE TEST WILL REVEAL COOLANT LEAK IS INTERNAL IN MY CAR. BIG STAR FORD CONFIRMED THAT MY ENGINE IS LOCKED AND THAT IT WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED. THEY DON'T WANT TO PAY FOR DAMAGE. I'M A PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE OWNER AND ONLY BUY OEM PARTS. THE CONTACT WHO WORKS AS AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC STATED THAT THE TURBO CHARGER LEAKED OIL ONTO THE ENGINE. THE CONTACT CALLED FAMILY FORD (170 YORK RD, CARLISLE, PA 17013, (717) 249-2215) HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED HOWEVER NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,000.
CAR STALLED AFTER ACCELERATING MODERATELY HARD INTO TRAFFIC FROM A STOP AND THEN QUICKLY TURNING LEFT INTO PARKING LOT.
WE WENT TO A FORD DEALERSHIP AND IT WAS REPORTED TO US FROM A FORD SALESMAN THAT THIS CAR HAS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH ANTIFREEZE/COOLANT ENTERING THE ENGINE. WE WERE TOLD THAT THIS COULD RESULT IN THE ENGINE SEIZING ABRUPTLY AT ANY TIME. WE HAD BEEN OBSERVING FOR QUITE A WHILE (4 TO 5 MONTHS) THAT THE ENGINE SMOLKED A BLUEISH SMOKE EVERY MORNING.
COOLANT LEAKING INTO ENGINE. ENTIRE ENGINE WILL HAVE TO BE REPLACED.

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON SAYING THAT ITS ENGINE MISFIRE IN CYLINDER 2. . MY MECHANIC REPLACED THE SPARK PLUG IT HAPPENED AGAIN, WE REPLACED THE COIL AND IT DID IT AGAIN. FINALLY THEY TOLD ME THAT THE COOLANT WAS LEAKING INTO THE CYLINDER WHICH IS CAUSING A MISFIRE AND THEREFORE HAS ALSO CRACKED THE BLOCK ON THE ENGINE. I GET HOME AND THERE IS A NOTICE FROM FORD. RECALL 19B37 TO REPROGRAM THIS ISSUE. I SCHEDULED THE UPDATE TO BE DONE AND FORD TELLS ME I NEED A NEW ENGINE NOW. I AM WAITING TO HEAR BACK FROM FORD AS TO HOW THEY WILL HELP, SEEING AS THOUGH I JUST BOUGHT THE CAR FROM THEIR DEALERSHIP LESS THAN A YER AGO BUT HAVE NO WARRANTY. ENGINE OVERHEATED AND STARTED ON FIRE COMPLETELY DESTROYED . VEHICLE WAS NOT INVOLVED IN ANY ACCIDENT AND WAS RECENTLY 22 DAYS PRIOR COMPLETELY CHECKED OUT BY THE DEALERSHIP FOR A ENGINE COOLANT RECALL.
WHILE MY 2017 FUSION SE WAS IN MOTION I GOT A CHECK ENGINE LAMP INDICATING THAT I HAD A MISS-FIRING CYLINDER AND ANOTHER LAMP TELLING ME "ENGINE COOLANT OVER TEMPERATURE". WHEN THE LAMP COMES ON IT REDUCES ENGINE TORQUE AND VEHICLE SPEED, MAKING THE CAR UNSAFE TO DRIVE BECAUSE IT SLOWS THE VEHICLE TO ABOUT 25 MPH. I TOOK IT TO FORD AND THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD COST $2,500 TO REMOVE THE HEAD TO LOOK FOR COOLANT WAS IN THE CYLINDER, $4,500 TO REPLACE WITH A USED ENGINE. I LATER TOOK THE CAR TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND HAD SENSOR FOR ENGINE COOLANT REPLACED. THE CAR SEEM TO DRIVE WITHOUT AN ISSUE, BUT AFTER A WEEK, THE PROBLEM RETURNED AS DESCRIBED ABOVE.
ENGINE CODE SURFACED AND TOLD ME I HAD A MISFIRE. I TOOK IT TO THE SHOP AND WAS TOLD THAT COOLANT HAD LEAKED INTO THE CYLINDER AND I WOULD HAVE TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE ENGINE AND WOULD COST ME $9,300. I CALLED FORD AND EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE RECALLS ON SIMILAR VEHICLES WITH SIMILAR ISSUES, THERE IS NOT A RECALL ON THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE.

SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR IN MARCH OF 2019 IT HAS GIVEN ME PROBLEMS WITH STARTING. UPON AN INITIAL FORD DEALER INSPECTION TO INVESTIGATE THE TIRE LEAK FORD DEALERSHIP REVEALED TO ME THAT MY CAR HAD NO COOLANT LEFT IN IT & ENGINE WAS HEATING UP & WAS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE.
