I am filing a complaint against Ford Motor Company regarding a known defect in my 2021 Ford F-600 truck that resulted in a catastrophic fuel system failure. The truck has only 110,000 miles and has been maintained appropriately. It is registered in the State of Illinois and is used for my woman-owned small business. A few weeks ago, the vehicle began running roughly. When the dealer inspected it, they reported that the entire fuel system was contaminated with metal and required complete replacement at a cost of $14,500. I later discovered that Ford has a documented history of CP4 fuel pump failures on 2020–2022 Super Duty trucks, including the F-600, which cause metal contamination throughout the fuel system.
