Rear Camera intermittent failure. I was just notified of the recall, but I'm experiencing the issue. Ford doesn't want to authorize the repair under the recall, even though they sent the notice, and I'm having the problem.
Brake light failure. Appears that the brake lights were stuck in the illuminated position while the vehicle was not being used. I had to disconnect the batteries to disable the lights.
The back up camera on my F350 froze the image on the screen as I was backing up, and I didn’t realize that I had backed into my daughter’s car. I ripped my fender off and wedged my tires up underneath her CRV there was no warning and I didn’t realize there was a recall on it because I hadn’t gotten anything in the mail. I did it my own driveway so I didn’t call the police and I haven’t turned on insurance yet. I wanted to see what I needed to do
The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-350. The contact stated that the front passenger’s seat warmer was overheating and emitting a burning odor and smoke. The contact pulled over and noticed that the smoke was coming from underneath the seat, and the wires were burning and had started melting. The contact arrived at the residence, and her spouse disconnected the wires underneath the seat. The seat belt warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the main information center failed to immediately activate certain electrical systems intermittently. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and confirmed there was no recall on the VIN. The manufacturer opened a case. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 115,000.
The backup camera fails to function when truck is in reverse causing a back over danger to children it was specifically supposed to address.
Lost ability to control cruise, horn, all buttons on steering wheel, and airbag light came on. I believe the Clockspring is defective
VEHICLE WAS ATTEMPTING TO CLEAN THE EXHAUST FILTER WITH THE DEF SYSTEM. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. VEHICLE BEGAN SLOWING DOWN. SCANNER REVEALED CODE P20BA-00, REDUCTANT HEATER "A" CONTROL CIRCUIT PERFORMANCE, AND P0884 TCM POWER SIGNAL INTERMITTENT. VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN AT HIGHWAY SPEED. FORD DEALER CONTACTED REGARDING REPAIRS. ADVISED WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY FOR EMISSIONS CONTROL. COST PROHIBITIVE TO REPAIR.
THE ENTIRE BODY OF THE TRAFFIC IS SPECKLED WITH RUST . THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM HAS THE SAME ISSUES THAT WE HAVE TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP REPEATEDLY WITH AUTOMATIC START AND THEY CANNOT FIX IT ALSO IT TELLS US OTHER THINGS ARE WRONG THAT OR NOT . WE KEEP TAKING IT BACK BUT THEY KEEP TELLING US IT'S FIXED MINUTES NOT.
TRUCK IS LESS THAN 3 YEARS OLD AND RECENTLY SERVICED AT FORD DEALERSHIP. AFTER RECENT SERVICE THE TRUCK WOULDN'T START. WHEN THE TRUCK WAS CHECKED BOTH LARGE FACTORY INSTALLED BATTERIES HAD CATASTROPHIC FAILURE LEADING TO BATTERY ACID CORROSION DESTROYING WIRING, POTENTIAL THE THE BRAKING SYSTEM AND OTHER ELECTRONICS THAT WERE EXPOSED TO BATTERY ACID AND CORROSION. THERE IS TREMENDOUS DAMAGE TO THE TRUCK AND A LARGE CHEMICAL SPILL FROM THE ACID. DEALERSHIP QUOTED OVER $1800 IN DAMAGES. TRUCK WAS A FIRE AND CHEMICAL HAZARD BECAUSE THE FAILURE WAS HIDDEN BY A FACTORY COVER, A HUGE COPPER CABLE WAS FREE TO ARC AND COULD HAVE IGNITED THE BATTERY OR CAUSED A DANGEROUS ELECTICAL FIRE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD F-350. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED, ALL OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WARNING INDICATORS REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (KALISPELL FORD, 2000 ROSE CROSSING, KALISPELL, MT 59901), BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FIFTH WHEEL SOLITUDE (NA) TRAVEL TRAILER BEING HAULED BY A 2015 FORD F-350. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A PREMATURE FAILURE WITH THE WIRES ASSOCIATED WITH THE BRAKE SYSTEM. WHILE BRAKING, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DIFFICULT TO APPLY AND THE CONTACT HAD TO USE EXCESSIVE FORCE. THE REPAIR SHOP DIAGNOSED THAT THE WIRES RAN THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF THE AXLE, AND THE COATING WAS WORN AND CAUSED A SHORT WITH THE WIRES, WHICH CAUSED THE BRAKE FAILURE. THE MECHANIC REWIRED THE WIRES TO THE BACK SIDE OF THE AXLE, CLAMPED THE WIRES ON THE OUTSIDE, AND REPAIRED THE TRAVEL TRAILER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED NO REPAIR RECOMMENDATION AS WELL AS NO SOLUTION TO ENSURE THAT THE REPAIRS WERE SUFFICIENT. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 8,000.
ENGINE STOPPED ONCE IN THE ROAD PULLING A 40 FT.R.V. .INTERMINTLEY SEVERE LOSS OF POWER AND TRYING TO OVERHEAT. COMEING DOWN A 7200 FT. MOUNTAIN I LOST THE R.V. BRAKES,ENGINE BRAKES & THE TOW HAUL MODE (TO HELP SLOW DOWN) ALL I HAD WAS THE TRUCK BRAKES GOING AROUND 80 M.P.H. BY THE TIME I GOT STOPPED ALL 4 WHEELS WERE SMOKEING COOKING THE RELATED PARTS, ROTORS, BRAKE PADS, CALIPERS,WHEEL BEARINGS IN MY OPINION.LATER IN A TOWN GOING SLOW AND STOPPING THE BRAKES PULLED VIOLENTLY TO THE RIGHT, A FEW MORE TRAFFIC LIGHTS THEN VIOLENTLY TO THE LEFT. FAILING TO CLEAN THE DIESEL EXHAUST FILTER AS NEEDED. SOMETIMES THE WIPERS COME ON ONE TIME WHEN STARTING THE ENGINE. 3 ATTEMPS TO FIX THE ENGINE PROBLEMS AND IN MY MIND IT IS NOT FIXED YET, MOST OF THESE PROBLEMS HAPPENED AT HIGHER ALTITUDES. ALL THIS INFORMATION SHOULD BE IN THE TRUCKS...
