THE TRUCK STARTED TO STALL ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AS I WAS ATTEMPTING TO GET UP TO ROAD SPEED OF 55 MPH. THE TRUCK WAS LOSING SPEED, JERKING AND BLACK SMOKE COMING OUT OF THE EXHAUST. THERE WERE NO INDICATIONS OF ENGINE FAILURE TO WARN ME OF ANY PROBLEMS, IE. ENGINE LIGHT. THIS OCCURRED ON MORE THAN ONCE, CAUSING POTENTIAL TRAFFIC HAZARD. THE CAM SENSOR AND FUEL INJECTION CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE REPAIR COSTS INVOLVED WERE HIGH THANK GOODNESS THERE WERE NO INJURIES OR ACCIDENTS DUE TO THE STALLING. THANK YOU,

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FORD F-350. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AS THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT WAS NOT ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTOMOTIVE SHOP WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED AS HAVING A MALFUNCTION TO THE FUEL INJECTION CONTROL MODULE, CAM SENSOR AND THE TURBO . THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED WITH NEW COMPONENTS. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 67,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 68,000.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FORD F350. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD HESITATE WHEN ATTEMPTING TO START. HE NOTICED THAT THE FAILURE ONLY OCCURRED IN THE MORNING. THE DEALER ADVISED THE CONTACT TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE CONTACT DID NOT INFORM THE MANUFACTURER NOR WAS THE VEHICLE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHO ADVISED HIM THAT THE FUEL INJECTION AND OIL PRESSURE SENSORS WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000.

MY HUSBAND AND I PURCHASED A USED 2004 FORD F350 HEAVY DUTY TRUCK IN SUMMER OF 2006. I WOULD SAY WITHIN THE FIRST 6-8 MONTHS OF OWNING THE TRUCK WE STARTED HAVING ISSUES WITH THE TRUCK CUTTING OUT (NO POWER). WE HAD THE TRUCK INTO THE SHOP ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AND THEY CHANGED OUT A FEW HOSES AND DID A FEW OTHER THINGS BUT THE PROBLEM CONTINUED TO OCCUR. THE TRUCK WAS ORIGINALLY UNDER WARRANTY WHEN THE PROBLEM STARTED AND NOW THEY WON'T BACK THE PROBLEM. WE HAVE HAD THE TRUCK IN SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY CAN'T SEEM TO FIND THE PROBLEM AND THE TRUCK CONTINUES TO CUT OUT (LOSE POWER). THE TRUCK LOSES POWER WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD ALMOST EVERY OTHER TIME WE DRIVE THE TRUCK. AFTER 170 MILES THE TRUCK CONTINUED TO LOSE POWER. THE CALLER HAD AN APPOINTMENT NEXT TUESDAY WITH DEALER. MANUFACTURER SAID TO KEEP BRINGING IT IN. *AK THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALER EIGHT TIMES FOR THE SAME PROBLEM.
