MY CAR ENGINE WAS BLOWN AT 48,600 MILES DUE TO A VALVE COMING APART AND A PISTON GOING THROUGH THE ENGINE. THE MOST IRONIC PART OF THIS IS THAT IT HAPPENED 7 DAYS AFTER THE EXPIRATION OF MY 7 YEAR 70,000 MILE EXTENDED WARRANTY THAT I PURCHASED WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR. AS YOU CAN SEE THE MILAGE WAS SIGNIFICANTLY UNDER THE MILEAGE THRESHOLD BY MORE THAN 30%. I HAVE CONTACTED CHYSLER AND MY DEALER. CHRYSLER CAME BACK WITH AN OFFER OF $6,000 TO REPAIR MY ENGINE OF WHICH THEY WOULD PAY HALF. SOUNDS LIKE A GREAT DEAL, HUH? NOT REALLY WHEN THE BOOK VALUE ON THE CAR IS $3,000. I CONTINUED TO TRY TO GET CHRYSLER TO COVER THE COSTS (WHICH I BELIEVE ARE AT RETAIL PRICES) BASED ON GOODWILL AND TO STAND BY THEIR PRODUCTS. TO NO AVAIL CHYRSLER WOULD NOT BUDGE. MY DEALER HAS OFFERED TO PAY...

DRIVING ABOUT 25 MPH AND WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING THE VEHICLE HAD LOUD NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE, AND THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONSUMER STATED THE ENGINE HAS BEEN REPLACED THREE TIMES, AND THE DEALER INDICATED VEHICLE NEEDED ANOTHER ENGINE , AND THEY CAN'T DETERMINE ANY OTHER PROBLEMS.
