Bulletin Summary
On the vehicles affected by this bulletin, perform a software update of ECM (Engine Control Module) and ACM (Aftertreatment Control Module) to provide improved temperature-related behaviour. The software will also change urea dosing valve behavior at shutdown and key-on. As an additional improvement, replace the urea dosing valve by an improved design. These hardware and software improvements aim to reduce the occurrence of clogging and shorting of the Urea Dosing Valve.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
