TSB: Revision Notice: Applicability has been updated to include 2015 Prius PHV, 2015-2016 Prius V, and 2015 Prius Vehicles. The Introduction, Parts Information, Required Tools & Equipment, and Repair Procedure sections have been updated. ECU Part Information and Calibration Information Sections have been added. Any previous printed versions of this bulletin should be discarded. Some 2010 ? 2015 model year Prius, 2012 ? 2015 Prius PHV, and 2012 ? 2016 Prius V vehicles equipped with a 2ZR-FXE engine may exhibit a MIL ?ON? condition with Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) P2111 (Throttle Actuator Control System) and P0A0F (Engine Failed to Start) present when ambient temperatures are below 23 F (?5 C). The intake manifold assembly has been improved as well as the Engine Control Module/ECM (SAE Term: Powertrain Control Module/PCM) logic has been modified to reduce the possibility of this condition occurring. Follow the repair procedure in this bulletin to address this condition.
