Bulletin Summary
Some 2017-2020 Continental vehicles built on or before 10-Jan-2020 may exhibit a creak type noise when opening or closing either front door. This may be due to fatigue in the sheet metal of the door in the area of the door check arm. If fatigue is found, a revised door assembly has been released for this concern. The part numbers of these revised door assemblies are GD9Z-5420125-C (left door) and GD9Z-5420124-C (right door).
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
