Some remanufactured 6.7L diesel engines recently installed in 2011-2014 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit a lack of power with engine oil temperature (EOT) exceeding 125Å’C (257Å’F) under loads. This may also be accompanied by REDUCED ENGINE POWER being displayed in the message center and the coolant temperature gauge indicating H. This symptom may be due to a missing metering cup plug in the upper oil pan causing reduced oil flow through the oil cooler. Remanufactured engines built on 1-Mar-2019 and through 13-May-2019 may be affected. If a vehicle exhibits this concern, use the Report a Vehicle Concern link at the bottom of the OASIS tab and submit a report. Include the engine serial number and engine build date in the report. The dealership may be contacted for further details and possible repair direction.
