Bulletin Summary
DTC U02A2 DEF sensor communication error. On subject vehicles, the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) may illuminate with DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) U02A2 stored in the engine ECU. This may be due to a malfunction of the DEF (Diese Exhaust Fluidf) tank sensor asslembly. Perform the diagnostic prolcedure for DT C U02A2 as outlined by the Workshop Manual (DEF SCR Section for Conventional Vehicles, Engine Troiubleshooting Section for COE Vehicles). If the diagnostic procedure leads to DEF tank sensor replacement, a more robust DEF tank sensor has been made available. Conventional Trucks (238, 258, 268 and 338) and COE (Cab Over Engine) Trucks (195, 195h).
