Bulletin Summary
Newmar Corporation has decided that certain 2017-2018 Ventana, Ventana LE, and Dutch Star motorhomes built on Freightliner Chassis fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, ?Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.? On certain motorhomes, if the headlight high beams are activated, only the high beam bulbs illuminate. The intention of the high beam function on the affected coaches is to have both the high beam and low beam bulbs illuminate together. Issue: Driving a motorhome at night without the required illumination of the road may reduce the driver?s visibility, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
