Bulletin Summary
This Preliminary Information communication provides additional information to the technician when installing the rear wheel bearing. Service Information directs the technician to install the wheel bearing so the decoder ring faces inboard toward the wheel speed sensor, but doesn?t describe how to determine which side of the bearing is the decoder ring side. The decoder side of the rear wheel bearing is that side that is both darker in color and magnetic.
