Bulletin Summary
GEM has observed instances where customers operating in cold weather are reporting vehicles slowing down at a higher state of charge, as if batteries are low. This Team Tip was released to inform dealers that there is a Polaris BMC reflash available for vehicles equipped with AGM batteries to factor ambient temperature into the state of charge reading. This communication also shows how to calculate a customerâs estimated range based on ambient temperature for vehicles equipped with flooded batteries.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
