NHTSA Complaint #11690785 — 2019 GMC ACADIA

The contact owns a 2019 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that after arriving at her destination and shifting into park(P), the message "Please Shift to Park" was displayed and the vehicle could be turned off. After several attempts, the vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, a case was opened, and the contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 88,000.
