NHTSA Complaint #11683251 — 2019 FORD EXPEDITION

The contact owns a 2019 Ford Expedition. The contact stated that while stopped at a stop sign and reaching into the center console, the contact's ring finger touched the silver chrome trim near the sliding opening latch and was severely lacerated, almost severing it completely. As a result, the contact lost consciousness, causing the vehicle to collide with a tree. Fortunately, the contact did not sustain any additional injuries. No police report was filed. The contact was able to drive away from the accident scene and personally repair the vehicle. The manufacturer has been notified of this incident.
