The contact owns a 2021 Ford EcoSport. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign number: 23V905000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). The contact stated that while driving at 35 to 40 MPH, the engine stalled. However, the vehicle rolled slowly; the contact stated an abnormal sound could be heard coming from the engine. The contact was able to pull to the side of the road and received unknown alerts via the Ford app. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact was informed to take the vehicle to another dealer. The vehicle was towed to another dealer and was not driven since. The failure mileage was approximately 9,657.
