NHTSA Complaint #11621692 — 2024 RAM 1500

I bought a new Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck from Lindsay CDJR located at 8100 Centreville Road Manassas VA 20111 on [XXX] and on [XXX] I noticed there are missing rear wheel shields on both sides of the truck. I called the Dealership and spoke to the salesman that sold me the car Said Hashemi and I sent him pictures of the missing parts and exposed wires and undercarriage and parts. He told me I could go to a local dodge dealership and get a quote for the parts and that dealership could call him and he would arrange for a charge to the Linsay dealership. I did this the same day 10/23/2024 and got a quote of $809.14 When I called from that local dealership Garden City Dodge in New York Said Hashemi then spoke to the sales Manager Mike Tatum who said they would not pay for them. These shields are essential to safe operation of the vehicle, and it is a safety hazard to have exposed wiring and parts that will fail as a result. The fact that they make that part to protect the wiring and other parts is De Facto evidence that they are needed.
