NHTSA Complaint #11618511 — 2015 FORD EXPLORER

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Explorer. The contact called on behalf of her husband and stated while her husband was driving approximately 35 MPH, the exterior A-pillar trim on the driver’s side detached from the vehicle. The contact was not able to retrieve to part. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where the contact was made aware of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V031000 (Structure). The dealer informed the contact that he would be added to the waiting list however, the contact stated that it had been approximately 3 months and had not yet received a response from the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
