NHTSA Complaint #11586796 — 2015 FORD EXPLORER

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Explorer. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 55 MPH, the exterior B-pillar trim detached from the vehicle. The contact was able to pull the vehicle to the side of the road. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the vehicle was not repaired because the failure was not related to the open recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000.
