Consumer Description
I am submitting this complaint to bring to your attention serious unresolved safety issues with my vehicle, which is currently at the dealership. Since October 2023, my vehicle has been plagued by critical mechanical problems including a non-functional Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and issues with the Radius Rods, without any resolution in sight despite ongoing communication between Vanderhall and the dealership. The failure of the ABS system has also disabled the traction control, making the vehicle unsafe to drive due to a significantly reduced ability to control the vehicle under various driving conditions. Moreover, the Radius Rods have become loose, which affects the vehicle's steering and handling, increasing the risk of a crash. These defects were first identified through the activation of the ABS warning light on the dashboard and the vehicle exhibiting erratic steering behavior. After six months of attempted repairs and communications, there has been no effective resolution, and the vehicle remains not only unsafe but in a condition that continues to pose a direct threat to passenger safety. I urge the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to intervene in this matter to ensure that these significant safety issues are addressed by the manufacturer. The ongoing risk presented by these unresolved issues necessitates immediate attention to prevent potential harm. Thank you for your attention to this urgent safety concern.
