NHTSA Complaint #11568670 — 2018 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY

To whom it may concern, I am writing to file a complaint about a serious defect in my Land Rover Discovery vehicle. The defect is a roof leakage near the windshield where it attaches to the body. This causes water to seep into the interior of the car and damage the electrical components. The service technician at the dealership informed me that they need to break the windshield in order to fix the leak and then replace the windshield. The estimate for this repair was around $3,500, which is unacceptable for a relatively new vehicle. I bought this pre-inspected vehicle in mid-2022 from the Land Rover dealership. I have learned from online sources that this is a common problem with many Land Rover vehicles, and that it poses a safety hazard as well as a financial burden for the owners. I request that you investigate this issue and issue a recall for all affected vehicles. I also request that you reimburse me for the cost of the repair or provide me with a replacement vehicle.
