Consumer Description

Misfire with code PO300, Ticketing from engine at higher RPM/lose power and seems to be misfiring. Check engine light would blink and then shut off. Four rockers found to be bent push rod. - Replaced right and left side lifters and guides. Replaced Vlom and 1 push rod. Dealer diagnose and repair. Lifter failure due to engine switching from V8 to V4. Very expensive and very common problem with this type of engine. Truck is young with only 74,000 miles on it. Had to replace the transmission at 70,000 also.
