NHTSA Complaint #11463229 — 2016 FORD FIESTA

The contact owns a 2016 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that after refueling her vehicle, the vehicle failed to start-up without warning. The contact also stated that the vehicle would hesitate without warning upon depression of the accelerator pedal while the engine revved. The contact had taken the vehicle to the dealer where she was informed that the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) was defective and needed to be replaced. The contact was then informed that parts were placed on back order as the vehicle remained in the possession of the dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The contact was then referred to the NHTSA. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
