Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Renegade. The contact indicated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle lost motive power and stalled without warning. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who indicated that the vehicle shut off due to low engine oil. An oil consumption test was performed, and no failure was found. The contact indicated that the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer who determined that the engine consumed an excessive amount of engine oil, causing the vehicle to shut off. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 110,000.
