NHTSA Complaint #11420293 — 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA

The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Altima. The contact stated while driving 35 mph, a popping sound came from the rear of the vehicle, which resulted in the vehicle losing the ability to properly steer. The contact pulled over and upon inspection, it was found that the driver’s side control arm had separated from the sub-frame of the vehicle. The contact stated that the low traction warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the residence and remained unrepaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The contact was informed that Vin was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was approximately 194,000.
