Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 ACURA RLX. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL KNOCKING SOUND COMING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO (AUTONATION ACURA STEVENS CREEK 4747 STEVENS CREEK BLVD, SANTA CLARA, CA 95051) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TIMING BELT SHIM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED AND ALL REPAIRS WAS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE VEHICLE OWNER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 44,000.
