Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 KIA OPTIMA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH AND THE CHECK ENGINE OIL INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER AND FILLED THE VEHICLE WITH OIL, DESPITE THE FACT THAT THE VEHICLE RECENTLY HAD AN OIL CHANGE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE ROD AND IGNITION COIL WERE DEFECTIVE. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
