Consumer Description

DURING THE POLAR VORTEX (JAN 2019) MY MAIN OIL SEAL BLEW ON MY 2013 GMC TERRAIN. THIS WAS CAUSED BY A PLUGGED ORIFICE WITHIN THE PCV SYSTEM. THIS APPEARS TO BE A DESIGN FLAW ON GM'S PART THAT THEY HAVE RECOGNIZED AND EXTENDED SPECIAL COVERAGE AS A RESULT. DESPITE THIS SPECIAL COVERAGE EXISTING THEY STATE MY VIN NUMBER ISN'T INCLUDED. MY PROBLEM AND VEHICLE MEET THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SPECIAL COVERAGE EXACTLY AND NOBODY CAN EXPLAIN WHY I'M NOT INCLUDED. IF YOU SEARCH ONLINE THERE ARE LOTS OF OTHER GM OWNERS EXPERIENCING THE SAME THING. THIS BLOWN OIL SEAL CAN RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE AND LOSS OF POWER. HAD I BEEN ON THE INTERSTATE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT COULD HAVE OCCURRED. THE FACT GM KNOWS ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND IS REFUSING TO ADDRESS IS MY ISSUE.
