TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FOCUS. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AND THE "TRANSMISSION FAILURE, SERVICE ENGINE SOON" WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE IN OCTOBER OF 2018. IN ADDITION, THE GEAR SHIFTER FAILED TO SHIFT INTO THE DRIVE POSITION AND SMOKE APPEARED UNDERNEATH THE HOOD ON ONE OCCASION WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS. MORRIE'S MINNETONKA FORD (13400 WAYZATA BLVD, MINNETONKA, MINNESOTA 55305, (952) 546-5441) WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO REMEDY FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V735000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 97,542.
