Consumer Description

THE POWER LIFTGATE FREQUENTLY DOES NOT CLOSE, AND SOMETIMES IT WILL NOT OPEN. WHEN IT FAILS, THE TAILGATE CAN COME OPEN WHILE WE ARE DRIVING. WE HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES. THEY TOLD US TO PULL THE FUSE THAT OPERATES THE LIFTGATE AND THAT WILL RESET IT. THE JEEP WAS UNDER WARRANTY WHEN WE STARTED HAVING THIS PROBLEM. IT HAS HAPPENED MANY TIMES AND NOW THE CAR HAS 60000 MILES.
