TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 BMW 3281. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IDLING, SMOKE AND FLAMES EMERGED FROM THE HOOD. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE SHOULDER AND KNEES; HOWEVER, MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NOT PROVIDED. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
