Consumer Description

VW CLOCK SPRING RECALL INVESTIGATION DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT 35-40 MPH AND THE CAR BEEPS WITH "ERROR: AIRBAG" THEN THE STEERING WHEEL MADE A WEIRD NOISE. THE HORN AND CONTROLS ON THE STEERING WHEEL ARE NOT WORKING. I TOOK IT TO THE VIC BAILEY VW DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE CLOCK SPRING THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I KNOW THERE IS AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE PREVIOUS RECALL AND I BELIEVE THAT MY CAR WAS AFFECTED BUT NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL.
