Consumer Description

AT 49,935 MILES, THE TRANSFER CASE AND DRIVE SHAFT (WHILE DRIVING) LEAKED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF $1,514 + CAR RENTAL FOR 2 DAYS. THE ENGINE AND POWER TRAIN ARE COVERED BY NISSAN'S WARRANTEE ONLY UNTIL 5 YEAR,50,000 MILES. AS I WOULD BELIEVE THAT THIS IS A NISSAN DESIGN AND MANUFACTURING PROBLEM, AND THAT OTHER 2012 NISSAN ROGUE ARE HAVING SIMILAR PROBLEMS, I WOULD VERY MUCH APPRECIATE IF THE NHTSA WOULD INVESTIGATE THIS TO DETERMINE IF A RECALL IS WARRANTED. THANK YOU.
