THE VEHICLE'S THROTTLE APPARENTLY BECOMES STUCK OPEN, WHICH CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO ACCELERATE TO A HIGH RATE OF SPEED AND BECOME DIFFICULT TO STOP. IT HAS OCCURRED WHILE THE CAR IS IN PARK OR WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP ON CITY STREETS OR WHEN ACCELERATING ON AN INTERSTATE RAMP.
