Consumer Description

MY 2007 DODGE 2500 TRUCK WITH A 5.9 DIESEL HAS EXPERIENCED, WHAT HAS BEEN WIDELY KNOWN AS, DEATH WOBBLE. I WOULD DESCRIBE THIS AS AN UNCONTROLLABLE LOSS OF CONTROL WHEN GOING OVER A BUMP OR (MORE ESPECIALLY) AN UNEVEN CHANGE IN THE ROADWAY LIKE WHEN GOING OVER OVERPASSES OR BRIDGES. THIS IS PREVALENT ON THE HIGHWAY AT SPEEDS OF 60 MPH PLUS. MY TRUCK CURRENTLY ONLY HAS 70,000 MILES AND HAS BEEN IMPECCABLY MAINTAINED. THE ENTIRE TRUCK AND STEERING SHAKES AND THE ONLY WAY TO STAY ALIVE IS TO BRAKE HEAVILY UNTIL IT STOPS, USUALLY AT 30 TO 40 MPH. THIS IS NOT SAFE IN ANY WAY, BUT ESPECIALLY ON THE HIGHWAY. THE TRUCK HAS HAD THIS ISSUE FOR YEARS AND HAPPENS WITHOUT WARNING. I TOOK THE TRUCK TO MY DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID OFF THE RECORD, "SORRY, WE KNOW IT HAPPENS, BUT WE HAVE NO SOLUTION." DEATH WOBBLE...EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT IT. NOT GONNA FIX IT. HHMMMMM.
