Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CAN-AM SPYDER RT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE BODY PANEL OVERHEATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING WHERE THE HEAT SHIELD WAS REPLACED. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED AN INJURY DUE TO THE FAILURE BUT DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75.
