Consumer Description

WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 ON AN INTERSTATE IN MIDDLE OF HEAVY TRAFFIC, MY 2009 FORD ESCAPE XLT 3.0L SUDDENLY DECELERATED AND WENT INTO LIMP MODE. I CAREFULLY MADE IT TO THE SHOULDER AS SPEED DROPPED TO ABOUT 5 MILES AN HOUR. WHILE PARKED ON THE SHOULDER I NOTICED THE WARNING LIGHT FOR THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE WAS LIT. I SHUT OFF THE ENGINE AND WAITED ABOUT 5 MINUTES. I RESTARTED WITHOUT INCIDENT. THIS IS THE 2ND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED AND IT HAS BEEN RUNNING ROUGH AS WELL. *TR
