Consumer Description
INFERIOR STEERING HEAD BEARING ISSUE. FOR A 2006 SUZUKI BOULEVARD C90T (VL1500T). ON DECELERATION BETWEEN 40-35 MPH, THE HANDLE BAR CONSISTENTLY SHAKES VIOLENTLY FROM SIDE TO SIDE. APPEARS TO BE FAILURE OF OEM BALL BEARINGS. NEEDS NEW TAPERED ROLLER BEARINGS TO CURE THIS DANGEROUS CONDITION. THIS WILL BE A SIGNIFICANT COST TO REMOVE AND REPAIR THE STEERING HEAD BEARINGS ($35 FOR BEARINGS AND $250 DEALER LABOR). THE DEALER STATES AS WELL AS SUZUKI AMERICA, THAT "THIS WOBBLE CONDITION IS A CHARACTERISTIC OF THE BIKE". I PURCHASED THIS USED MOTORCYCLE ON 03/31/2012. THE BIKE HAD 4899 MILES ON IT AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE. THE WOBBLE WAS NOTICED ALMOST IMMEDIATELY AFTER PURCHASE. THE DEALER WOULD ONLY AGREE TO TIGHTEN THE STEERING HEAD BEARINGS, WHICH IN TURN ONLY SLIGHTLY HELPED THE SEVERE WOBBLE ISSUE. DEALER ADVISED OF NO CUPPING OR WEAR PROBLEMS WITH THE TIRES. *TR
